Philosophy of Healing

I sometimes say to clients, "You're not broken, and I'm not fixing you."

Still, people do feel differently - often dramatically so - after appointments with me. Moreover, positive change remains as they go forward in their life. So what is happening?

As a result of my practices with yoga, A Course in Miracles, and other esoteric approaches sought for my own healing, I have come to deeply believe in the innate perfection of the Inner Being of each person, in the Oneness.

Imagine that you are tending to an innocent young baby, whose perfection you easily see. However, the baby has some cookies, and there are crumbs on his/her face, and little sticky hands. Would the crumbs and stickiness reduce in any way the perfection of the baby? Of course not.

Therefore, I may use my elbows to loosen muscles in your trapezius, guide you through tapping with Thought Field Therapy, or make energy corrections, but these body/mind discomforts, pains and issues we are addressing are not YOU. Those issues and pains are what Eckhart Tolle calls your "PAIN BODY," or the "crumbs and stickiness" on your perfect, whole, Inner Being. Therefore, in my mind, I consider my work to be gently "wiping the crumbs and stickiness away."

My job is to remain conscious and attentive to that wholeness, no matter what approach we choose from my repertoire.
